3.3 Local Installation

Follow these instructions for downloading and installing the latest version of the EVM GUI application:

  1. The EVM GUI application installer can also be downloaded from the TI GUI Composer Gallery.
  2. From the gallery, click the DRV8243S-Q1EVM, DRV8243H-Q1EVM, DRV8244S-Q1EVM, DRV8244H-Q1EVM, DRV8245S-Q1EVM icon in the latest version and select the installer for your operating system (Windows, Linux or Mac). Refer back to in the previous section for a visual depiction of the Gallery page.
  3. Decompress the .zip file.
  4. From the decompressed archive, run the installer: for example, “DRV824x_DRV814x_DRV8x63-Q1EVM-GUI-1.2.0.setup-win" (refer to Figure 3-4). If the GUI Composer Runtime has not been installed, then the installer takes care of this. The installer contents looks slightly different for each OS, but is self-explanatory.
