GUI Installation

The section provides procedure for the EVM software installation. The DAC90802EVM software is portable; there is no GUI installation required other than installing the FPGA controller (Opal Kelly XEM7310A75) front panel driver. The EVM software is compatible with the Windows® 11 operating system. Before installing the software, verify that the DAC90802EVM is not connected to the local machine. Follow the steps to install the driver, unzip the GUI to a folder of your choice, and prepare the GUI for use:

  • Download the Opal Kelly front panel driver from https://pins.opalkelly.com/downloads as shown in Figure 3-1.

  • Install the Opal Kelly front panel driver by double-clicking on FrontPanelUSB-DriverOnly-5.3.6.exe.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Opal Kelly front panel driver installation as shown in Figure 3-2.
  • Download the latest version of the EVM GUI software from the order and start development subsection of the DAC90802EVM tool folder on ti.com.
  • Extract the downloaded zip file to a desired location on your local machine.
  • After extracting the downloaded zip file, the folder contains the DAC90802EVM GUI.exe application and an internal folder containing the GUI dependencies.
  • Keep the internal folder in the same location as the executable file. For proper GUI operation, do not move or delete the internal folder.
