Typically wireless, wearable, patient monitors are tied to the human body in such a way that they can measure multiple parameters for the body. Figure 1-2 shows a high-level block diagram of such a system. A typical patient monitor has a radio module, or radio IC, on it and operates over a battery. The communication can be established from a remote location (like a cell phone, tablet, or a computer).
