Overview

The DRV-ACC16-EVM tool allows users to easily measure and characterize haptic feedback, acceleration, and vibration strength.  The tool captures acceleration using an accelerometer IC and outputs X, Y, and Z axis data as an analog signal that can be measured by an oscilloscope. With the acceleration data users can measure vibration strength, startup time, brake time, and waveform shape to compare waveforms, actuators, and mechanical design.  The tool was designed using flexible PCB to minimize the effects of the accelerometer on the mechanical system.
