J721S2XSOMXEVM is a prototype evaluation module available in limited quantities.
The J721S2XSOMXEVM system on module (SoM) — when paired with the J721EXCPXEVM common processor board — is a development platform to evaluate the Jacinto™ 7 TDA4VE-Q1, TDA4VL-Q1 and TDA4AL-Q1 automotive processors for vision analytics and networking applications throughout the automotive and industrial markets. These processors perform particularly well in advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) domain control, surround-view camera and automated-parking applications.
TDA4VE-Q1, TDA4VL-Q1 and TDA4AL-Q1 have a powerful heterogeneous architecture that includes a mix of fixed- and floating-point digital signal processor (DSP) cores, Arm® Cortex®-A72 cores, matrix math acceleration for machine learning, integrated ISP and vision processing acceleration, 3D graphics processing unit (GPU) cores and H.264/H/265 encode and decode acceleration.
An integrated safety microcontroller unit (MCU) includes dual-lockstep Cortex-R5F cores that support the system to achieve ASIL-D-level certification. Integrated peripherals allow for multicamera input via CSI-2 ports, vehicle connectivity based on PCI Express (PCIe), CAN with flexible data rate (CAN FD) and gigabit Ethernet, and display connectivity via display serial interfaces (DSI).
J721S2XSOMXEVM is supported by the software development kit (SDK) for TDA4VL and TDA4AL Jacinto processors (PROCESSOR-SDK-J721S2), which includes foundational drivers, compute and vision kernels, and example application frameworks and demonstrations that show how to take advantage of the architecture of Jacinto 7 processors.

Thank you for your interest in the J721S2 Software Development Kit for RTOS. This SDK can be used on its own (for RTOS-only development on DSP and MCU cores on the J721S2), or in conjunction with the following ARM A72-based HLOS-specific packages (for developing RTOS firmware, and HLOS libraries and OS-agnostic demos using OpenVX):
Please refer to SDK Documentation in the table above for getting started. The documentation refers to downloading packages that are found both in the table above, as well as on the companion SDK release pages for Linux or QNX listed above.
