Release Information

This is a short-term support release of the C2000 Code Generation Tools (CGT) containing new enhancements and features. The C2000 CGT provides software development tools including the compiler, assembler, and linker, among others, which can be used to develop applications with C/C++ source code for loading and running on C2000 core processors.

What's new

Available in release 20.12.0.STS:
  • Live Firmware Update feature for C28/CLA firmware update support
  • Generate CRCs over memory ranges
  • C28 has more efficient data accesses for lower 16-bits of memory when using location attribute or literal addresses.
  • The Integer Division Unit (--idiv_support=idiv0) has performance updates.
  • CLA has a performance improvement with more efficiently loading 16-bit constants.
  • Enumerated type changes.
  • Misra support deprecated
