The CC2640 and CC2640R2F wireless microcontrollers currently support all the features of Bluetooth 4.2 and were designed with Bluetooth 5 in mind. Both devices have software configurable radios capable of new data rates and long range mode. TI’s Bluetooth 5 SDK will be released on CC2640R2F.
