PRODUCTION DATA
The TPSM8S6B24S devices are designed to operate from split input voltage supplies. AVIN is designed to operate from 2.95V to 18V. AVIN must be powered to enable POR, PMBus communication, or output conversion. For AVIN voltages less than 4V, VDD5 must be supplied with an input voltage greater than 4V to enable switching. PVIN is designed to operate from 2.95V to 16V. PVIN must be powered to enable switching, but not for POR or PMBus communication. The can be operated from a single 4V or higher supply voltage by connecting AVIN to PVIN. TI recommends a 10Ω resistor between AVIN and PVIN to reduce switching noise on AVIN. See the recommendations in Section 8.5.
