LFXT_ERR_04

LFXT Module

Category

Functional

Function

Power consumption is abnormal when LFXT is enabled

Description

  1. In LQFP-44 (NNA) package, if LFXT function is enabled, there is extra leakage of ≅6uA from VDD pin. And due to the additional leakage, LFXT doesn't work reliably above 105C.
  2. In other TI-compatible packages which support LFXT on PA3/4, if LFXT is enabled and PA26 is left floating, there can be high leakage ≅5mA from VDD pin.

Workaround

  1. In LQFP-44 (NNA) package, limit max temperature to 105C for LFXT work. And IDD_STDBY can be about 10uA.
  2. In other TI-compatible packages which support LFXT on PA3/4, force PA26=0 or VDD externally on the board.
