Device Information

The TPS4812x-Q1 family is a 100V low IQ smart high side driver with protection and diagnostics. With wide operating voltage range of 3.5V–95V, the device is an excellent choice for 12V, 24V, and 48V system designs. The device can withstand and protect the loads from negative supply voltages down to –65V. The device has a strong (0.5A source and 2A sink) main gate driver with a separately controlled (100μA source and 0.39A sink) low power path gate. With LPM Low, the low-power path is kept ON and the main FETs are turned OFF with IQ of 20μA (typ). Auto Load wake-up threshold adjusted using RBYPASS. IQ reduces to 1μA (typ) with EN/UVLO low.

The device has accurate bi-directional current sensing (±2%) output (IMON, I_DIR) with adjustable I2t based overcurrent and short circuit protection using an external RSNS resistor and FLT indication, adjustable short circuit protection, auto-retry and latch-off fault behavior can be configured. The device also features NTC based temperature sensing (TMP) and monitoring output (ITMPO) for overtemperature detection of external FETs.
