Transparent Mode

When the CLR pin is held low, the comparator is in "Transparent" mode. In transparent mode, latching is disabled and the output continues to respond to the input conditions, similar to a "normal", non-latching comparator.

If both latched and unlatched comparator paths are desired, the dual LM2903L can be used with one channel in latching mode and the other channel operating in the transparent mode by tying the non-latching channel CLR pin to V-.
