Detailed Design Procedure

The TMUX405x-EP can operate without any external components except for the supply decoupling capacitors. The MCU can control the enable and address pins through GPIOs to toggle between various inputs of the multiplexer. The enable (EN) pin must be connected to power if the functionality is not required in the system. All inputs being muxed to the ADC of the MCU must fall within the Recommended Operating Conditions, including signal range and continuous current. For this design with a supply of 12V, the signal range can be 0V to 12V.
