Power-On and Bias Supply Check

Note: This is a low voltage only test; do not try to manually probe the test points when a high bus voltage is applied to this EVM.
  1. Board setup
    1. Place jumpers at J7 and J6. Connect VCC to VCC and ENA_HS to ENA_LS.
    2. Tie J1 to COM_HS and J2 to COM_LS.
    3. Tie INN_IN[HS] and INN_IN[LS] to a GND test point.
    4. Power supply set at 12V, 1A. Connect power supply to VHK_12V (power) and GND_HK (GND)
  2. Probe the VCC-GND voltage between the VCC TP and any GND TP with a multimeter. This value must be 5V.
  3. Probe the high side VDD-COM voltage by using the VDD TP and the COM TP from HS. Probe the low side VDD-COM voltage using the VDD TP and the COM TP from LS. These values must be approximately 15V.
  4. Probe the high side VEE-COM voltage using the VEE TP and the COM TP. Probe the low side VEE-COM voltage using the VEE TP and the COM TP. These values must be approximately -8V.
  5. Make sure the indicator LEDs are OFF
