Description
The HDC2022 is an integrated relative humidity and temperature sensor with a factory-installed PTFE membrane cover over the opening of the relative humidity sensor. The cover is a hydrophobic micropourous PTFE foil that protects against dust and water according to IP67 specifications. The cover is designed to adhere to the package over lifetime operation while maintaining the same response time as a sensor without the membrane. The cover has a filtration efficiency of 99.99% down to a particle size of 100 nm.
The device is backward-compatible with the HDC2080, providing high accuracy measurements with very low power consumption in a small DFN package. The capacitive-based sensor includes new integrated digital features and a heating element to dissipate condensation and moisture. The digital features include programmable interrupt thresholds to provide alerts and system wake-ups without requiring a microcontroller to continuously monitor the system. Combined with programmable sampling intervals, low power consumption, and 1.8-V supply voltage support, the is designed for ultra-low power battery-operated systems.
