The TMUX2889 is a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) multiplexer with two independently selectable 2:1, single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch channels. This device works with a single supply (1.6 V to 5.5 V), but can pass bidirectional analog and digital signals beyond the supply from -5.5 V to 5.5 V.

The TMUX2889 also features powered off protection up to ±5.5 V, which isolates the switch even when there is no supply voltage present (V DD = 0 V). Without this protection feature, any voltage on the switch can back-power the supply rail through an internal ESD diode and cause potential damage to the rest of the system.

With 0.001% THD+N and 1 mΩ R ON-flatness, the TMUX2889 is designed for passing precision analog and audio signals without adding distortion.
