TPS12S24F-Q1 is a family of low IQ smart dual high side drivers with protection and diagnostics. With wide operating voltage range of 3.5V to 70V and a 80V absolute maximum rating the device is suitable for 12V, 24V, and 48V automotive system designs.

It has two integrated gate drives with 0.5A source and 2A sink (GATEx). In low power mode, the integrated low power path is kept ON and the main FETs are turned OFF with IQ of 35µA (typ). The device automatically switches to the active mode with main FETs (GATEx) ON when load current exceeds configurable load wakeup threshold and asserts FLT/WAKE low as wakeup indication to the MCU. Further, the device also includes various capacitive charging modes which can configured over SPI.

Diagnostics features include a digital bi-directional current with adjustable Bi-I2T based overcurrent and Bi-short circuit protection using an external RSNS resistor, output voltage, input voltage, FET temperature sense, controller temperature and FET VDS sense that can be read over the SPI serial interface to diagnosis external FET and load failures.

The TPS12S24F-Q1 is available in 30-pin VQFN package.
