The ADS1120 evaluation module (EVM) is an evaluation system for the ADS1120, a 16-bit, multichannel, delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The EVM uses the ADS1120 along with minimal circuitry to demonstrate functionality for prototyping and part evaluation. The pins of the ADS1120 are accessible through various connections on the ADS1120EVM connectors. The EVM also contains a MSP430 for use with a personal computer. The EVM allows for connection to a computer via a USB port. The ADS1120EVM is controlled by the ADCPro™ evaluation software using a plug-in. The software is designed to run with the Microsoft® Windows™ operating system and allows for complete evaluation of the ADS1120 device.
