EN/FLT Control

EN/FLT is a multiplexed device enable and fault indicator pin. Keep the EN/FLT pin high to keep the device functionality enabled. In the event of a fault condition, the device pulls the EN/FLT pin low in an open-drain configuration for a duration of tFLT as described in Section 8.3.8. An enable resistor is required to limit the current into the EN/FLT pin during this period. The enable functionality is masked and the device remains enabled during the fault condition, as described in Figure 8-4. Place a decoupling capacitor close to the device to avoid noise coupling on EN/FLT pin. The enable signal is masked for tENBLK time after fault is released. Establish that the EN/FLT pin has low parasitic capacitance to support faster rise after the fault is released. Pull EN/FLT low externally to disable the device.
