Accuracy and Reliability

The Channel Sounding technology of the CC2755 has been widely applied in automotive Passive Entry Passive Start (PEPS) systems. It achieves sub-50cm ranging accuracy, and the system maintains stable and reliable operation within a range of 30 to 40m. The dual-antenna design solution can achieve an accuracy of approximately 0.3m within 5m, and approximately 0.5m beyond 5m.

Channel Sounding supports up to 4 antenna paths and 8 antenna combinations, effectively mitigating the impact of multipath reflections on ranging accuracy in complex environments, which presents significant advantages in stability and reliability over RSSI solutions.

Based on smart door lock applications, this paper also provides a detailed test report on accuracy within a close range of 2m. See Section Test results.
