Introduction

The AWR2188 is TI’s next-generation high-performance mmWave RF front end. Built on TI’s low-power 45nm RFCMOS process, it integrates an 8-transmitter, 8-receiver system with built-in PLL and ADC converters in a monolithic form factor. By allowing users to modify the programming model, it supports multiple sensor implementations, such as short-, medium-, and long-range, and supports dynamic reconfiguration to realize a multi-mode sensor. Raw radar ADC data from the AWR2188 is output via CSI2 to a processor for edge processing, or input via a serializer to a domain controller for remote data analysis.
