Description

The BQ25960H evaluation module (EVM) is a complete charger module for evaluating the highly-integrated BQ25960H switched cap battery charger in WCSP package for 1-cell Li-Ion and Li-polymer batteries in a wide range of smartphones and tablets. The BQ25960HEVM is rated for a maximum input current of 5.75A and a maximum charge current of 8 A.

The BQ25960HEVM presents a complete fast charging design. A typical use case is for the BQ25611D buck charger (U4) to perform pre-charge and charge termination, while one or both of the BQ25960H switched cap chargers (U1 and U2) perform fast charging to achieve the highest possible efficiency.
