MSP430FRxx microcontrollers (MCUs) from the MSP Ultra-Low-Power MCU series are the first to integrate FRAM technology. As the world demands faster and higher performance in every application, new memory technology is needed to enable smarter solutions. FRAM from Texas Instruments (TI) provides unified memory with dynamic partitioning and memory access speeds 100 times faster than flash. This new memory is combined with the low-power DNA of MSP to offer lower energy consumption than ever before!

Applications

MSP430 ultra-low-power microcontrollers (MCUs) from Texas Instruments (TI) are RISC-based, mixed-signal processors. These microcontrollers include smart analog and digital peripherals that can run without CPU intervention for enabling the lowest possible power consumption. These ultra-low-power MCUs offer a number of additional options such as low-power embedded segment LCD drivers, infrared modulation for ir transceiver functionality and security such as AES encryption. TI provides microcontroller project support for the ultra-low-power microcontrollers including technical documents, training, and the hardware (such as the MSP LaunchPad development kit) and software (like Code Composer Studio, Energia and EnergyTrace Technology) tools you need to get your microcontroller boards and programming started today!
