7.1 Overview

The TMP118 is a digital output temperature sensor designed for high-accuracy, space constrained applications that comes factory calibrated for accuracy. The device features a two-wire, SMBus and I2C compatible interface with two modes of operation: continuous conversion mode and one-shot conversion mode. The TMP118 also includes an alert status flag with individual high and low thresholds registers. The device is specified over an ambient air operating temperature range of –40 °C to 125 °C. Figure 7-1 shows a block diagram of the device.
