Assembly Instructions

This section has step-by-step instructions on how to assemble the AMC-AMP-200A-EVM. Lugs are not included. If the user desires to use lugs during evaluation, follow step one.

  1. Connect high-current input lugs to R20 with screw and hexnut.
    1. The lugs must not touch when secured.
    2. Make sure that the lugs are positioned such that the lugs make contact with the maximum amount of surface area of the shunt.
    3. The connectors must be tightly fastened to the current carrying cables such that the connectors can not be moved by hand. A torque wrench is recommended to provide symmetrical connection. A torque of approximately 40in-lbs is recommended.
  2. Modify isolated comparator adjustable trip threshold resistor (R18) if desired. The default trip voltage is ±288A. Refer to the AMC23C15 data sheet for more information.
