Project Erase Property

The NONMAIN flash region is a nonvolatile memory which requires the erase operation before introducing a new write value. To successfully load the NONMAIN region firmware into the device, set the erase property to erase the NONMAIN.

For Code Composer Studio™ studio, right-click on the project and open the project property. Figure 6-2 shows the details.

For Keil®, select and open the options for target, add NONMAIN in the debug settings. Figure 6-3 shows the Keil erase property settings.

For IAR®, right-click the project and open the options. Verify that the non-main region is added with an extra parameter. Figure 6-4 shows the IAR settings.

After the NONMAIN configuration is finalized and programmed, TI recommends removing the NONMAIN field to avoid reprogramming NONMAIN with the same value each time.
