6 Summary

VIF generation is a vital step to obtain USB Type-C® PD compliance. TI VIF Generation Tool simplifies this step by generating a VIF from a user's configuration and populates the majority of the VIF. This saves users from manually generating a VIF file, accelerating compliance testing by lowering the barrier to entry for generating VIFs and reducing the number of compliance testing cycles.
