As soon as the junction temperature, TJ, exceeds 165°C (typical) the device goes into thermal shutdown. In this mode, the bypass, high-side and low-side MOSFETs are turned off, and the I2C block is active. When the junction temperature falls below the thermal shutdown minus the hysteresis (20°C typical), the device continuous to re-start-up and regulate the output voltage.
