An internal thermal shutdown (TSD) protects the device by disabling the MOSFET drivers and VCC regulator if the junction temperature (TJ) exceeds the TTSD-RISING threshold. After the junction temperature (TJ) is reduced by the TTSD-HYS hysteresis, the device continues operation according to the Functional State Diagram.
When the device operates close to Thermal Shutdown the Thermal Shutdown Warning flag is set (see Register Status Byte (0x5)).
