A/D Converter
Features:

  • As fast as 500 ns conversion time allows greater sampling rates for feedback loops and programmed conversions of multiple channels
  • External and EV triggered A/D conversions require zero CPU overhead.
  • Two double buffered data registers reduce the interrupt overhead required to fetch results
  • Up to 16 multiplexed analog input channels
ADC enhancements on LC/LF240x devices:
  • Acquisition time window has separate prescale control, independent of conversion time which allows high sampling rate of high impedance inputs (10-10K ohms)
  • Autosequencing capability greatly reduces CPU intervention
  • 2 Operating modes: Cascaded 16 state or Dual 8 state
