6.4.2 Operation Under 100% Duty Cycle Condition

The UCC278X4 allows constant on or constant off operation (0% and/or 100% duty cycle) as long as the VDD and VHB bias supplies are maintained above the UVLO thresholds. This is a challenge when bootstrap supplies are used for VHB. A floating bias supply such as an isolated supply or charge pump can be used to achieve 100% duty cycle operation.
