8 Power Supply Recommendations

The BQ27Z855 device uses the BAT pin as its power source. The BAT pin powers the internal voltage sources and 1.8V LDO that supply references for the device.

A capacitor (CBAT) with the recommended typical capacitance of 1µF connected between the BAT and VSS pins is recommended and must be placed as close to the BAT pin as possible.
