The ADS1220EVM is an evaluation system for the ADS1220, a 24-bit, multi-channel, delta-sigma (ΔΣ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The EVM uses the ADS1220 along with minimal circuitry to demonstrate functionality for prototyping and part evaluation. The pins of the ADS1220 are accessible through various connections on the ADS1220EVM connectors. The EVM also contains a MSP430 for use with a personal computer. The EVM allows for connection to a computer via a USB port. The ADS1220EVM is controlled by the ADCPro™ evaluation software using a plug-in. The software is designed to run with the Microsoft™ Windows operating system and allows for the complete evaluation of the ADS1220 device..

ADCPro™ is a modular software system for evaluating analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) without the need for expensive logic analyzers and complex analysis routines. Used alone it is suitable for performing analysis on data sets captured from ADC testing; when paired with a Texas Instruments ADC evaluation module (EVM) and suitable data capture card, it becomes part of a powerful evaluation package.
