After the initial position is detected, the MCT8316A begins driving the motor in open loop at an angle specified by IPD_ADV_ANGLE.
Advancing the drive angle anywhere from 0° to 180° results in positive torque. Advancing the drive angle by 90° results in maximum initial torque. Applying maximum initial torque could result in uneven acceleration to the rotor. Select the IPD_ADV_ANGLE to allow for smooth acceleration in the application (see Figure 8-24).
