7.3.11 IOUT Monitor

The LM5192 has the IMON pin that can be used as the average inductor current or regulator output current monitor when the regulator is operating in the constant voltage control loop. The average inductor current can be read from the voltage on the IMON pin by using Equation 4.

where

  • VIMON is the voltage on the IMON pin.
  • VOFFSET is the output current monitor amplifier offset voltage of 1V (typical).
  • AIMON is the output current monitor amplifier gain of 25V/V (typical).
  • RS is the sense resistor of 8mΩ (typical).
