Achieve bus fault protection for both 12-V and 24-V battery systems
Vehicle electrification requires increasingly higher-voltage DC supplies. And while high-voltage systems can deliver more power, the system-level trade-off is that they need higher fault-protection devices. TI’s Controller Area Network (CAN), Local Interconnect Network (LIN) and system-basis chips implement some of the highest levels of bus fault protection in the industry – up to 70 V. With a majority of our products already supporting 58-V bus fault protection, designers can easily support these increasing fault-protection demands with our CAN, LIN and SBC products.

TI’s CAN FD, CAN SIC, LIN and SBC solutions offer performance, flexibility and affordability to drive future applications.
As automobiles continue to evolve, the need for smaller-size solutions, higher data rates and more integration is clear in BEL applications. Our portfolio of Controller Area Network with Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD), CAN Signal Improvement Capability (SIC) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) transceivers meet or exceed industry-standard data rates, with some of the smallest package options in the industry. Our system-basis chip (SBC) portfolio offers more integration while maintaining small package options.
