The TIOM2212 dual channel IO-Link controller
implements two independent IO-Link interfaces for industrial bidirectional, point-to-point
communication with an integrated frame handler. The device can be connected to two IO-Link
devices through a three-wire interface and integrates automatic wake-up pulse generation,
communication sequencer, and ready pulse detection for simplified communication with IO-Link
devices. The integrated frame handlers can be controlled via SPI, eliminating the need for
external UARTs, but for legacy systems or non-standard frame sizes, a UART interface is
available for maximum flexibility.
The TIOM2212 is designed to provide high
flexibility and system-level integration for industrial automation. This device supports
advanced status indications with integrated LED drivers, external NFET gate drivers for
high-power L+ supply and C/Q device actuation, and configurable digital features for port
synchronization and system monitoring. The device architecture also enables efficeint,
high-speed SPI communication for rapid data updates and maximum system integration.
