7.2.3.16 VCC Capacitor CVCC

The primary purpose of the VCC capacitor is to supply the peak transient currents of the gate driver as well as provide stability for the VCC regulator. Use good-quality, low-ESR, ceramic capacitor for CVCC. Place CVCC close to the pins of the device.

A value of 4.7µF was selected for this design example.
