Measurement Results

Note: For a concise list of best thermal design best practices, see Section 4. The results of the testing exemplify how the thermal design choices of two different EVMs with the same SoC influence the thermal performance.

The following subsections detail the results of the various measurements and calculations for the thermal testing procedure. For these sections, graphs will reference the EVMs as CC for AM263x Control Card and LP for AM263x LaunchPad. The graphs will also refer to the test configuration when only the logging script is running on R5_0 as <EVM>_noLoad. When the other cores are running at full load then the graph will refer to those lines as either <EVM>_Load1 to for full load on the first R5FSS cluster or <EVM>_Load123 for full load on both R5FSS clusters.
