Start-Up Impact

The addressing-mode mismatch introduces a data displacement in the image loaded by the Boot ROM.

In the investigated system, image content became shifted by one byte. As a result, the certificate header contained in tiboot3.bin is no longer located at the expected offset, causing certificate authentication to fail even though the original image and certificate remained valid.

The resulting failure sequence is shown in Figure 2-3.
