Revision A

The first production revision of the LAUNCHXL-F28P55X was released in April 2024. This revision can be identified by the MCU133A silkscreen labeling on the back side of the EVM between the BoosterPack Connector site 1 towards the top of the board.

Issues and concerns that have been identified on the EVM are listed below:

Known issues:

  • JTAG TDI and TDO (R111 and R112) pull-up resistors are populated as 0-ohm resistors on the board instead of 10kΩ resistors

Special notes and considerations to be aware of:

  • TI recommends to have a pull up resistor on TDI or TDO pins when JTAG is in use for development. On this revision, JTAG TDI and TDO pins are missing external pull-up resistors. The internal pullup is disabled by default. The internal pullup needs to be enabled or an external pull-up (10kΩ) added on the board if this pin is used as JTAG TDI to avoid a floating input.
  • Some of the F28P55X LaunchPads come with indicated EQEP2 label on the silkscreen instead of EQEP3 one. Be aware that EQEP2 on the silkscreen corresponds to the EQEP3 module.
