Overview

This evaluation module (bq34110EVM-796) is a complete evaluation system for the bq34110 wide range gas gauge that supports multiple battery chemistries, including Li-Ion and LiFePO4, lead acid (PbA), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH), and Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) when combined with an EV2400 USB adapter and Windows™-based PC software downloadable from the TI.com website. The circuit module includes one bq34110 integrated circuit (IC) and all other components necessary to monitor and predict capacity in one or more series cell battery packs. The circuit module connects directly across the battery. With the EV2400 interface adapter and software, it is possible to read the bq34110 data registers, program the chip for different pack configurations, log cycling data for further evaluation, and evaluate the overall functionality of the bq34110 solution under different charge and discharge conditions.
