7.4 Device Functional Modes

The LM4041-NLM4041-N-Q1 has fixed output voltage options as well as adjustable output voltage options. The fixed output parts can only be used in closed-loop operation, as the feedback is internal. The adjustable option parts are most commonly operated in closed-loop mode, where the feedback node is tied to the output voltage through a resistor divider. The output voltage remains as long as lR is between lRMIN and lRMAX; see Section 5.5. This part can also be used in open-loop mode to act as a comparator, driving the feedback node from another voltage source.
