The bq34110 CEDV Battery Gas Gauge provides CEDV gas gauging and End-Of-Service (EOS) Determination for single- and multi-cell batteries. The device includes enhanced features to support applications where the battery is kept fully charged and is rarely discharged, such as found in a wide variety of backup systems. The bq34110 gas gauge supports multiple battery chemistries, including Li-Ion and LiFePO4, lead acid (PbA), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH), and Nickel Cadmium (NiCd).
The gas gauging function uses voltage, current, and temperature data with Compensated End-of-Discharge Voltage (CEDV) technology to provide State-Of-Charge (SOC) and State-Of-Health (SOH) data. The gas gauge also incorporates an End-Of-Service (EOS) Determination function that alerts when battery capability has degraded and is approaching the conclusion of its usable service.
The data available from the gauge can be read by the host through a 400-kHz I2C bus. Two ALERT outputs are also available to interrupt the host or can be used for other functions, based on a variety of configurable options.

Overview
bqProduction Hi-cell software offers a full suite of robust tools to assist with the process of configuring, calibrating, manufacturing and tracking printed circuit boards utilizing TI Battery management products. This includes features that allow writing a golden image followed by different types of calibration to provide desired levels of accuracy, writing date of manufacture, writing unique serial numbers, and finally validating limits for calibration parameters to spike out any inconsistencies in material. bqProduction Hi-cell software offers three (3) levels of access to allow strict control over the manufacturing process with the assembly line operator only having access to the "Start" button. bqProduction Hi-cell software supports a single station from a single computer and has inbuilt capability to maintain log files for the processed printed circuit boards.

Mode of operation dependent: Requires 1mV, 1mA accurate external power supplies able to supply current required for calibration.
Features
MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300 is used as a substitute for EV2300. Separate installers may be provided for each family of products and build numbers may vary by device family.
Limitations: Recommended display resolution is 1920x1080 with maximum 125% scaling. The GUI may not show password fields and/or buttons may be moved out of the visible area when using other display settings.

The executables work with a single station but can be extended to multiple stations by using additional software and GUI from MKS Technology Inc. . Support for multiple stations is not included in this software.
There are multiple executables in the download, usually one per family of products. Older products such as BQ20xxx and BQ30xxx are also supported. Examples using the C++ programming language API and Python® programming language are provided for custom development.

BQEVSW-MKST-UPDATE software is a software update for BQEVSW (bq Evaluation Software) and BQEASY (bq EV-Easy) to allow it to work with the MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300 MKS Technology alternative for EV2300 communications transceiver. This update installs a program that allows switching the USB transceiver target in software like BQEVSW and BQEASY from/to EV2300 to/from MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300.
The program requires administrator privileges.

3. Run the program using shortcut named BQEVSW-MKST-UPDATE from Start menu/Desktop
4. Allow administrator privilege when/if prompted

6. Connect matching transceiver and start BQEVSW, BQEASY or other similar software.
Note: BQMTESTER-MKST-UPDATE and BQEVSW-MKST-UPDATE both update the same software components. Switching the USB transceiver using any of these shortcuts will also switch it in the other.

This update installs a program that allows switching the USB transceiver target in BQMTESTER and ADVANCED-BQMTESTER software from/to EV2300 to/from MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300. There are also some changes required on the hardware side as described in the PDF guide in the install folder.
