The TPS922152 is a non-synchronous, Average-Current control Buck LED driver with a wide bus voltage range of 4.5V to 200V. It utilizes Adaptive Off-Time (AOT) mode to drive external switching FETs, ensuring low LED current ripple and fast transient response even with a small output capacitor. The switching frequency is configurable from 50kHz to 1MHz, supporting single-layer PCB design and common anode configurations.
For dimming, the TPS922152 supports high-accuracy analog dimming via the ADIM pin, achieving a dimming ratio of up to 1000:1 using unique corrective sensing technology. For PWM dimming, the PDIM pin uses proprietary Inductive Fast Dimming (IFD) to provide high-frequency, high-ratio control with high precision. Additionally, the device integrates comprehensive protection features, including LED open/short and sense resistor open/short protection.
