Stepper motor drivers – Design & development
This design is a complete system for controlling 3-axis, single extruder-based 3D printers. The system is managed by the MSP430F5529 LaunchPad and utilizes the DRV8846 for precision stepper motor control and the DRV10983 brushless driver with integrated control for the fan.

The TIDA-00261-BOOST-DRV8711 is an 8-52V, 4.5A, bipolar stepper motor drive stage based on the DRV8711 Stepper Motor Pre-driver and CSD88537ND Dual N-Channel NexFET™ Power MOSFET. The BOOST-DRV8711 is ideal for those wishing to learn more about stepper motor control techniques and drive stage design.
Refrigerators often use a damper to control airflow and a fan to provide circulation. This design’s integrated motor drivers provide easy control, high performance, and full protection. The DRV8848 drives the stepper motor damper, and the DRV10983 drives the BLDC fan with quiet 180° commutation.
