Overview

The DAC90802 is a dual‐channel, 18‐bit, voltage output, digital‐to‐analog converter (DAC) using a proprietary multiplying DAC (MDAC) architecture.

Each channel has an independent full‐featured DAC, including resistor connections for feedback (RFB), offset (ROFS), offset‐adjust (VOSADJ), Load‐DAC (LDAC), temperature sensor outputs (TEMP), references (VREFP, VREFN), and matched reference inversion (REFIN, RCOM).

The channels of the DAC90802 share a quad‐SPI compatible serial data interface, with four data input-output lines (SDIO0-SDIO3), chip‑select (CS), and serial clock (SCLK) inputs. Use the asynchronous active‑low RESET pin to reset DAC codes and the functional state of the device. In addition, use the LDAC inputs to synchronize the DAC outputs with the overall system signals.

The DAC90802 requires external reference voltages. Select among unipolar, biploar, and asymmetric operation using the reference, reference inversion, and offset pin configurations. Configure the offset adjust pin to finetune the offset errors in the overall system. The DAC90802 incorporates a power-on reset (POR) circuit to make sure that the DAC outputs are pulled down to zero using a 5kΩ resistor.
