Power-On

The DAC90802 requires multiple power supply rails. The DAC90802 incorporates a power on reset (POR) circuit to make sure that the DAC outputs are pulled down to zero using a 5kΩ resistor.. Asserting an active low signal on RESET resets the device and clears all registers, with the same result as a POR event. While any sequence of power domains followed by reference voltages is usable, the recommended sequence is per Table 6-1.

Table 6-1 Power Supplies and Reference Recommended Sequence
Sequence Purpose Pins
1 Analog High Voltage Negative Rail VEE
2 Analog High Voltage Positive Rail VCC
3 Analog Low Voltage Rail AVDD
4 Digital and Communications Power LVDD, VIO
5 Digital Core Power DVDD
