7.3.9 Device Functional Modes

There are four modes of operation for a given channel. Each channel can be independently configured to act in either of these four modes. This channel mode can be configured using the CLMD field in the LCFG register:

  1. IOLINK PHY mode
  2. UART mode
  3. Frame handler mode
  4. Extended frame handler mode
