Application Information

The TPS7H502x is a radiation-hardened PWM controller with an integrated gate driver. The driver has an input voltage range of 4.5V to 14V and offers a programmable switching frequency up to 1MHz. Furthermore, the integrated driver can be configured to operate with GaN FETs by utilizing the programmable LDO of the controller and making a connection from output to PVIN. A higher voltage input up to 14V can be used at PVIN to use the driver in conjunction with silicon MOSFETs. The controller can support a number of different power supply topologies, including but not limited to: flyback, forward, and boost.
