8.1 Application Information

The TUSB1146-Q1 is a linear redriver designed specifically to compensation for intersymbol interference (ISI) jitter caused by signal attenuation through a passive medium like PCB traces and cables. The TUSB1146-Q1 has four independent DisplayPort 2.1 inputs, one upstream facing USB 3.2 input, and two downstream facing USB 3.2 inputs, therefore the device can be optimized to correct ISI on all those seven inputs through 16 different equalization choices. Placing the TUSB1146-Q1 between a USB3.2 Host/DisplayPort 2.1 GPU and a USB3.2 Type-C receptacle can correct signal integrity issues resulting in a more robust system.
